Rules & Regulations
Term of Membership: This agreement will begin upon payment of membership dues by applicant and approval of the Coastal Wedding Professionals Membership Committee and will continue for twelve months. This agreement may be cancelled by the Board of Directors of CWP without further obligation at any time for failure to adhere to the Code of Ethics and/or Rules & Regulations or for failure to pay membership dues.
(There will be a fee of $15 for any check given for membership that is returned by the bank.)
Coastal Wedding Professionals Code of Ethics: You must adhere to the Coastal Wedding Professionals ‘Code of Ethics‘. Your signature on the Coastal Wedding Professionals application states that you understand and will maintain each of the Rules, Regulations and the Code of Ethics. Your Membership may be terminated without refund should the Coastal Wedding Professionals Board of Directors find that you have violated any portion of the Code of Ethics or Rules & Regulations. Such action shall be taken only after the CWP Board of Directors has conducted a confidential investigation of the matter & all information has been gathered & assessed prior to termination of membership.
Required License: Each business shall have all licenses for the operation of its business. (A current copy must be presented with your application for membership).
Coastal Wedding Professionals Logo: Members in good standing are entitled to use the Coastal Wedding Professionals logo in their advertising, website, etc. however, the logo may not be altered in any manner. Use of the Coastal Wedding Professionals logo must cease immediately upon termination of Membership & shall be regulated by the Board of Directors of CWP.
Voting Privileges: Each company may execute “1” vote per membership when required by the Coastal Wedding Professionals group. (See Meeting Requirements below).
Meetings and Events: You or your representative are required to attend scheduled meetings of the Coastal Wedding Professionals as set by the Board of Directors of CWP. These meetings are held to help promote your business as well as to share any changes in “laws” set by the state or county. This time will also be to exchange ideas within your profession and with others in the Coastal Wedding Professionals Group. The importance of attending these meetings is to build relationships as well as camaraderie among all members and professional groups. You must attend at least quarterly meetings or you will forfeit your ability to “vote” in any circumstance.
Liability and Insurance: Coastal Wedding Professionals is exempt from any liability in any way & will be held harmless for injury to person, property or loss, or damage of any kind sustained by you, your employees or any other person and does not accept any responsibility for any member or their business.
Other Benefits: You will receive a Coastal Wedding Professionals certificate during your Membership along with a name badge and Coastal Wedding Professionals business cards to be used at Coastal Wedding Professionals meetings as well as in your business to not only promote yourself but, also the Coastal Wedding Professionals Group. There will be opportunities to meet and greet and share ideas with other Coastal Wedding Professionals members at these scheduled meetings. Not only can you promote your own business but also share ideas with others about how to better your/their business. Referral credits are given to members that bring new “memberships” to the group. This credit is applied towards your following years membership dues. For every 10 new memberships joining the CWP, a year of free membership is given to the person or company who referred the member(s) to the group. Help your self while helping us to grow.
Miscellaneous: Any and all concerns & questions not covered herein are subject to the discretion of the Coastal Wedding Professionals Board of Directors. Any action taking place shall be handled in the State of South Carolina in Horry County. Coastal Wedding Professionals reserves the right to use photos and/or video taken of you, your employees or assigns for any purpose whatsoever without compensation made for use of same.
